Peeling back the Mysteries

Disclaimer- I am one of the contributors of this anthology. And still in awe of the company my words keep. We have some seriously heavy hitters in this book.
Which is one of the best anthologies I've ever read. There is gorgeous artwork, lyrical poetry, scholarly essays, deeply transformative rituals, humor, sorrow, and above all, numberless keys to enriching one's relationship with Persephone. The Sacred Way is more than an historical reference to the path of the epoptai, and far more than a destination sought by true seekers. It reminds us that we don't find answers in books, but books can give us hints and clues that allow us to get glimpses into the Mysteries governed by this liminal Goddess.

Queen of the Sacred Way is simply one of the best additions to my occult library in years. I have almost read it cover to cover, but it keeps grabbing me and tossing me around its pages with moments of inspiration and Aha!

I cannot suggest this book enough, it really does pack an amazing amount of creative and scholarly work into one magnificent study.

A UNIQUE BOOK ABOUT SYSTEMS NOT IN EQUILIBRIUM

This book is the volume 10 and the last volume of the great Course of Theoretical Physics by Landau and Lifshitz. It explains in great detail and rigour the theory of the processes ocurring in several systems not in statistical equilibrium. The book opens with a complete account of the transport processes in gases not in equilibrium, certainly the most representative physical system not in equilibrium. The Boltzmann transport equation is derived in a general and elegant way in this chapter. After a second chapter which developes a mathematical technique called the diffusion approximation, the book discusses various processes occurring in several systems not in equilibrium, notably the processes occurring in plasmas. Other systems, such as insulators, quantum liquids, metals etc are discussed. In a final chapter, it developes the kinetics of phase transitions, in a magnific and concise form. Really this is a superb book, where the reader will learn with detail all these subjects.

Stick with the Exner and colleagues series

I have read and used a number of Rorschach scoring and interpretive guides and I feel that the pedagogical value of this book is on par with it's monetary value. As other reviewers have commented, this text is out of date. I also noticed that the case example towards the end is wrought with scoring errors. I purchased this as a brief guide for students in clinical placements, but I am now sure it is better that I summarize the contents of the Exner series for them. I don't recommend this text for anyone who actually uses the test.

A useful tertiary reference

In my experience, all of the "Essentials" series books are useful to a greater or lesser degree. I routinely write psychological testing reports, and have a stack of reference books nearby for quick perusal. This is NOT a book that should be used by students or professionals to comprehensively score and interpret a Rorschach; the Exner workbook is needed for that. However, this book has an excellently compiled index that allows the evaluator to quickly look up research and normative data on specific variables that stand out in a record.

Look at other books before buying this one

I bought this book to assist me in learning the Rorshach in a projective assessment class. The book is easy to read, and it certainly provides the reader with eye catching information boxes that help to make sense out of complicated material. However, there are some problems. First, the book is out of date: it does not refer to current research or Exner's newest comprehensive edition. An update of this book might take care of this problem. Second, at times material that could be more comprehensively laid out for the reader is neglected. This concern would require the authors to re-write sections that are overly simplified.

Sing a Song of Pizza!

If this book doesn't inspire you to drop everything and gather up the ingredients to make your own home-baked pizza pie, nothing will! This is a beautiful tribute to one of the most popular dishes born in the late 19th century in Manhattan's Little Italy District. The color artwork in this cookbook is nothing short of mouthwatering and the recipes for both dough and pizza toppings inventive, creative and imaginative. Whether the reader likes their pizza thin crust, stuffed, sourdough or gluten-free, The United States of Pizza offers a coast to coast tour of how America's chefs are re-inventing the traditional pizza pie!

Best Pizza Cookbook of the Year!

As a professional pizzeria owner, this book is my favorite of the year! I've made at least five of these pies for my customers and they loved them. This book is easy to use, innovative, pizza-specific and upbeat without the pomposity of cookbooks from "know-it-all" chefs. I especially like the way that other small pizzerias across the country are represented here. The corn crust is now my go-to vehicle for all my southwest style pies and I am definitely stealing the Finocchio pizza with this delicious fennel jam as mine! Here's my version of Craig's fabulous Grilled Pear and Bacon Pizza, (I added some Stilton)

This is a terrific book. I would say that the Deep Dish ...

Home cooks, pull out your pizza stones! This is a terrific book. I would say that the Deep Dish Reuben Pizza is one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten (not only in the pizza category!) The Chunky Tomato Sauce recipe is magical. There is a pizza for everyone here--classic, innovative, deep, thin, gluten-full and gluten-free. I am happy to have it on my shelf and need no other pizza book.
