An incredible conclusion to a fabulous series!

This is an absolutely incredible suspense series and I have loved each book even more than the last. If you have read the first two books, then I know you definitely won't want to miss A Killer Among Us! If you have not read the first two books, you could certainly read this one as a stand-alone. The author gives you plenty of background so that you would not be lost at all. However, in a way this is also a sort of a family series and I personally think you'll appreciate the characters more if you follow their whole story. It's an exceptional series and well worth the extra time to read the whole series!

I enjoy Ms Eason's suspense thrillers and I love the way she weaves in a great message but she does it in a more subtle way. It's not overly preachy, but it's there. The same is true for the romance part of the story, there is some romance, but this is a real thriller first and foremost. It's not a romance with just a little mystery on the side like some books are. She writes great suspense stories that are fast paced, with sometimes grisly murder scenes, and she still manages to leave you feeling uplifted and inspired as well as entertained!

I VERY highly recommend this book. The writing is excellent and the story is intense suspense at its best! I was hooked from the very start and could not put this book down! It's one of those that will keep you reading way into the night. It will have you on the edge of your seat and guessing to figure out who the killer is. Each time you think you've got it figured out, there's a new twist in the plot to keep you guessing and turning the pages! I have absolutely loved this series and I so hate to see it end!

Thrilling suspense and a touch of romance!

A Killer Among Us is exhilarating! The story is about 2 detectives, Noah and Kit who are new partners and find themselves working on a serial killer case. Not only are there people getting killed around them but it is evident that either Noah or Kit are getting hunted too! Trying to work with new a new partner is always a struggle especially when you find yourself attracted to that person as well.

Once you start reading A Killer Among Us, you'll have a hard time putting it down. There is a ton of action and suspense that had me guessing who the killer was the entire time. This book reminded me of watching the TV show "Criminal Minds" where you get to see inside the head of the killer as well as watching the detectives work the case. I enjoyed the tidbits of a glimpse in to the killers mind, he sure was psychotic.

The main characters were enjoyable; I was completely immersed in their lives right from the start. I really admired Noah; he was such a Godly man and always made an effort to remind Kit as well as others of God's love.

The spiritual threads in here were perfect. There was a lot of action going on, but here and there was a mention of God's love and forgiveness. A Killer Among us reminded me that God never abandons us or forsakes us even when we turn our backs on him! Very inspirational!

The romance was sweet and desirable. I felt like the romance moved a little fast considering it all happened within a few weeks but I wouldn't change anything about it. Very clean and enjoyable! I am looking forward to reading more by Lynette Eason. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy Christian Suspense with a touch of romance, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing Series!

My Review:

I couldn't even begin to describe how anxious I was to read and review the 3rd and final book in the "Women of Justice" Series ~ "A Killer Among Us!" Lynette Eason has quickly become one of my Favorite Christian Suspense Authors for sure! While this book is the last in the series it easily would read as a stand alone however, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you read the other two ~ "Too close to Home," and "Don't Look Back." A Killer Among Us introduces us to Kit and Noah. Kit is a High Profile Negotiator and Noah is a Detective with not only excellent instincts, but a godly man, and an example to all of those around him.

When these two come together as partners, they both have to learn how to best work with one another. Noah's previous partner had a fatal accident and he still carries the burden and feels responsible. Kit is a strong woman and an excellent negotiator, yet harbors so much pain from her past. Together, these two make an amazing team and the more time they spend together, the more they realize they are attracted to one another. Noah prays Kit can find forgiveness and that God can work in her heart. As they continue to work on the case, they quickly learn they are dealing with a serial killer and may be hunting not just the innocent lives of the law students, but quite possibly, Kit or Noah as well!

I have loved this series. A series about Family, and finding God, despite difficult situations and hurts in your past. I love how Lynette weaves forgiveness and healing into the lives of not only Kit and Noah but Jake, Samantha, Connor, and Jamie! If you like Suspense and Fast paced Action these are the books for you! The only thing that could make this the full package is to add a good romance in and Lynette has done that perfectly!

If you are a CSI fan, or Criminal Minds strikes your fancy then don't walk to your nearest bookstore.....RUN! Grab the Women of Justice Series and a glass of sweet tea and enjoy these books!! You WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

About the Author

Jack Kitaeff, Ph.D., J.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia specializing in police and forensic psychology. He received his undergraduate education at Brooklyn College, and his graduate psychology education at the State University of New York at Cortland and the University of Mississippi. He received his law degree from the George Mason University School of law, and completed a legal clerkship with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Virginia.

Dr. Kitaeff completed a clinical psychology internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and served as a psychologist and Major in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps. He became the first police psychologist for the Arlington County Police Department, where he established a pre-employment psychological screening program for police applicants. From 1984 to the present he has been the consulting police psychologist for numerous law enforcement agencies in the northern Virginia area, including the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office, among others. Dr. Kitaeff is an adjunct professor of psychology with the University of Maryland, University College. He is also a faculty member in the School of Psychology at Walden University. He is a Diplomate in Police Psychology from the Society of Police and Criminal Psychology, and a member of the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Kitaeff is the editor of Malingering, Lies, and Junk Science in the Courtroom (Cambria Press, 2007), and the author of Jews in Blue (Cambria Press, 2006), and Forensic Psychology (Prentice-Hall, 2010).
